Unique lecture on the history of reed organ building in the Brockhagen Archive

On Saturday, 16 November, we welcome Dr. Burkhard Beyer, an expert on the history of reed organ building in the context of the different apostolic congregations. Dr. Beyer has spent many years researching the history of the Beyer company in Bielefeld-Brackwede and has recorded his findings in a book.

The full title of his lecture is: “‘Unsurpassed in beautiful tone, richness of sound and pleasant playing technique’. The Beyer harmonium production in Brackwede and its special connections to the (New) Apostolic Churches’.

In addition to all the valuable theory, there will also be a special exhibit on display that visitors can marvel at – a reed organ cut in half, which allows us to follow the playing technique of this instrument. Several playable Beyer instruments from different eras are also available and can be tried out.

The lecture will probably also be streamed on YouTube:
