In recent days, a discussion has arisen in Bielefeld regarding the planned demolition of the old New Apostolic Church Bielefeld-Mitte (also known as the cafeteria). Local historian Dr. Wilhelm Haubrock called for protection of the rare church windows from the workshop of Gustav Fricke. The building was recently sold to a real estate development company.

Apostolic Community of Saarland has disbanded
The website of the Apostolic Community of Saarland (AGdS) reports that this traditional community disbanded last Sunday, November 24, 2024, by decision of the general meeting. This ends a history of more than seventy years, which can be read in detail in our wiki.
Unique lecture on the history of reed organ building in the Brockhagen Archive
On Saturday, 16 November, we welcome Dr. Burkhard Beyer, an expert on the history of reed organ building in the context of the different apostolic congregations. Dr. Beyer has spent many years researching the history of the Beyer company in Bielefeld-Brackwede and has recorded his findings in a book.
Earliest sheet music edition of a New Apostolic hymnal published!
At the annual meeting of the Network of Apostolic History, the earliest known sheet music edition of a (New) Apostolic hymnal in German was made available to interested researchers. It is the first edition of sheet music for the Apostolic Songbook of 1898, which appeared in 1900 but was not widely distributed. It was intended for four-part choral singing as well as for accompaniment by organ or harmonium.
Christmas and end of the year
Now another year is almost over. On Saturday, Dec. 17, 2022, we were again able to hold our traditional Advent Singing in the Brockhagen archive. This event also concludes our network year as it did before the pandemic.
Symposium on apostolic music in Amsterdam
On October 8, 2022, a symposium on apostolic music from 1863 to the present will be held in Amsterdam under the auspices of the J.H. van Oosbreestichting. The initiative for this event came from Edwin Diersmann, Manfred Horstmanshoff and Johan Giskes. The program is the result of a collaboration between the Nieuw-Apostolische Kerk Nederland and the Apostolisch Genootschap. Both a choir of the NAC and a choir of the Apgen will sing. A responsible person from the Apostolisch Genootschap will open the event, and Nico Klene from the Nieuw-Apostolische Kerk Nederland will close the event.
Brockhagen Archive: Great celebration of the tenth anniversary!
On July 2, 2022, the Apostolic History Network celebrated the tenth anniversary of the Brockhagen Archive with a ceremony and a courtyard party. About 70 participants were present and celebrated in warm and sunny weather on the premises of the archive, partly until the evening.
