On Saturday, 16 November, we welcome Dr. Burkhard Beyer, an expert on the history of reed organ building in the context of the different apostolic congregations. Dr. Beyer has spent many years researching the history of the Beyer company in Bielefeld-Brackwede and has recorded his findings in a book.

Symposium on apostolic music in Amsterdam
On October 8, 2022, a symposium on apostolic music from 1863 to the present will be held in Amsterdam under the auspices of the J.H. van Oosbreestichting. The initiative for this event came from Edwin Diersmann, Manfred Horstmanshoff and Johan Giskes. The program is the result of a collaboration between the Nieuw-Apostolische Kerk Nederland and the Apostolisch Genootschap. Both a choir of the NAC and a choir of the Apgen will sing. A responsible person from the Apostolisch Genootschap will open the event, and Nico Klene from the Nieuw-Apostolische Kerk Nederland will close the event.
Brockhagen Archive: Great celebration of the tenth anniversary!
On July 2, 2022, the Apostolic History Network celebrated the tenth anniversary of the Brockhagen Archive with a ceremony and a courtyard party. About 70 participants were present and celebrated in warm and sunny weather on the premises of the archive, partly until the evening.
Digital auction of historical materials until July 14th
One of our networkers, Edwin Diersmann, has currently started a digital auction of historical books on apostolic church history, which we would like to draw attention to. A total of 70 books, some of them very rare, are up for auction and can be purchased against highest bid.
Review: The first presentation by the Network in English- The Network and two brief American church topics
Interest in church history extends beyond those in Europe, how to expand accessibility is a challenge of languages. This presentation was the first to expand Network exposure in English.
Meeting in Dresden 2021: Pictures and overview
From September 10-12, 2021, about 35 interested people met in Dresden for the now fourteenth annual meeting of the Apostolic History Network. The mostly warm and sunny weekend provided a suitable setting for intensive discussions and lectures, taking into account the special rules and conditions in the second year of the pandemic.
Registration and program for the annual meeting 2021
Apostolic History Network invites all interested persons to our annual meeting in Dresden. There, from September 10 to 12, 2021, the now fourteenth annual meeting on the church history of the apostolic communities will take place. The venue for the meeting will be, among other places, the church of the Apostolic Community Dresden, which celebrates its 25th anniversary this year. In addition, the congregation looks back on a hundred years of history since its separation from the New Apostolic Congregation in 1921. We will also visit the New Apostolic Church Dresden-Neustadt, which has a historic building dating back to 1903 and represents the “other branch” of newer apostolic communities in Dresden.
Sing along: Catholic-apostolic anthems for July 14th!
Dear networkers, musicians, friends and acquaintances,
July 14 is approaching, and with it the anniversary of the segregation of the Twelve Apostles in London in 1835. We have commemorated this historic apostolic holiday for many years, with a memorial gathering on site in Brockhagen, and last year with a virtual commemoration via YouTube instead. We are not yet able to reopen the archive, so we want to offer a commemorative hour via YouTube again this year.
Joy Bells! Invitation to our virtual Easter Choir
Dear members of the Apostolic History Network, musicians, friends and acquaintances,
now it is Passion time and soon Easter will come again. Since we are still not able to make live music, we are planning a joint virtual choir song for publication on the Internet also for Easter. For this we invite you again to a virtual choir! Easter decorations and a lot of creativity are very welcome.
Virtual lectures 2021
An important field of work of the Network Apostolic History are lectures on church history. However, due to the general situation, we have not been able to offer lectures locally – in Brockhagen and elsewhere – since February 2020. We think that will probably not be possible in 2021 either.
